I’m Lucila Rudge, a Parent Coach and Consultant with a Ph.D. in Education and 25+ years of experience in the field of education.
I’ve never believed in a one-size-fits-all approach to educating a child. No two children are alike. Children come into this world with unique talents, interests, and distinctive needs. When we honor and nurture their uniqueness and provide the educational path that is right for them, they grow in confidence and develop a strong sense of self.
What I Bring to my Coaching and Consulting Services
Extensive knowledge of mainstream and alternative approaches to education
I’ve always been interested in school choice and have focused most of my research on alternative approaches to schooling. I’ve visited dozens of schools around the world, talking to teachers, school administrators, and parents. I’ve published the book, Holistic Education: An Analysis of its Pedagogical Application, , and a number of articles on related topics.
I’ve also worked closely with U.S. public schools, collaborating with teachers, and mentoring, and supervising teacher candidates in K-12 classrooms. I’ve taught a range of topics in education, including holistic approaches to education, theories of learning, social and emotional learning, educational psychology, among many others.
My goal is to provide you with educational options that best align with your family’s values, needs, and aspirations.
Rigorous Coaching Training by ICF Accredited Institutions
I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coach Federation, and a Certified Holistic Life Coach with an Advanced Diploma in Coaching by the Institute of Coaching Studies.
As a coach, I will work in partnership with you, exploring the best educational options to achieve your family goals.
Experience as a Parent
I am a parent of two beautiful grown up children. Similar to many parents, I wanted the best education for my children, one that nurtured their strengths and supported their needs.
When one of my children finished elementary school, I had to seek an alternative option as the mainstream education was not working for him. I knew he could do well and thrive if we found the right place for him—and we did. Very quickly, I noticed the positive impact of the new school on him. I wish I had acted earlier but, like many parents, I had doubts and was reluctant to make changes.
My goal is to help you find the right education for your child, to guide and support you so you can clear your doubts and make decisions with confidence.
